Other Experience

I've run my own web server since before domain-name registrations cost money. I was news admin for mtn.org and gofast.net for several years.

In volunteer work for non-profit organizations, I've been heavily involved in convention planning and running at all levels, including department head and chairman. I've worked on all Minicons since 1975, all Fourth Street Fantasy Conventions, the 1993 World Fantasy Convention, and the 1976 and 1989 World Science Fiction Conventions.

I'm an avid photographer. The Joy of Home Winemaking, by Terry Garey (Avon Books) was illustrated with my photos, and several SF and fantasy authors (including Lois McMaster Bujold, Steven Brust, Patricia C. Wrede, and Joel Rosenberg) use publicity photos I took. Some of the web sites I've developed have also used my photos.
